Shine Trader Limited Reports:
The Turkish lira has hit a record low against the us dollar
At 0515 GMT, the lira was trading at 9.9050 against the dollar, off a low of 9.91 and 0.6% below its close.
The rupee has lost 25 percent of its value so far this year.
Us inflation data boosted the dollar as investors pondered the possibility of the Federal Reserve tightening policy earlier. Higher interest rates in the US tend to pull money out of emerging economies with high foreign debts, such as Turkey.
