Shine Trader Live reports:
The 19-year-old singer wrote the song with the help of her brother Fenias O ‘Connell, but admits it wasn’t an easy process.
“When we were asked to take action, we had a lot of writer’s block,” Says Billie.
Fenias added: “We rented a studio to write it, but we couldn’t write anything good.”
Billie and Finnias, 24, eventually wrote the song while on a tour bus in Texas.
“Finnias came up with this piano theme, and we immediately thought, ‘Ahhhhhhh,’ and then we wrote the whole song,” Billie explained.
Billie and Finnias dreamed of a Bond theme song long before they had the chance.
The Bad Guy producer told the BBC: “We’ve always wanted to write a Bond song – even before it was an option.”
Her siblings added: “We’ve been writing themes and thinking of melodies for years, just thinking, ‘Wouldn’t it be cool if we could sing a Bond song one day? ‘” When we found out they were shooting on the 25th, we immediately went to see our producer, Barbara Broccoli, and defended our situation.”
Meanwhile, Finias previously admitted they were lucky to land the title for their new film.
The acclaimed composer joked that other artists had not been so lucky in the past.
Earlier this year, he said: “We were lucky because the title of the song was’ No time to Die ‘and it was a great lyric.
“I don’t blame Jack White and Alicia Keys for not writing a song called quantum of Solace.”
